It's been a busy day in the world of Championship transfer gossip as we hurtle ourselves towards the summer transfer window.

Moves are being made by most clubs as they look to get their teams in order to mount a charge for the Premier League next season.

QPR are wasting no time as the bid to bounce back to the big time and, according to reports, there's lots going on at Derby as they come to terms with the disappointment of missing out on promotion last season.

There's also news on Cardiff City and Leeds.

Here's what has gone on today...

QPR

Massimo Luongo has confirmed his move to the London club for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year contract.

He was quickly followed by his Swindon team-mate Ben Gladwin, he also signed for an undisclosed fee and signed a three-year deal.

Former Cardiff City striker Jay Emmanuel Thomas is in talks with QPR.

The free agent was released by League One champions Bristol City despite scoring 12 goals last season.

The Bluebirds are among a number of possible suitors for Everton duo Tyias Browning and Brendan Galloway.

Roberto Martinez is keen to see both young centre-halves get game time in the Championship next season and Cardiff have forged links with the Blues, having received Conor McAleny on loan last season.

Brentford and Bolton are also in the running.

Derby County

The Rams are looking to secure permanent deals for Darren Bent and Tom Ince, according to the Derby Telegraph.

Both players had successful loan spells at the club last season, scoring 23 goals between them.

Bent is out of contract at Aston Villa and has said how much he enjoyed his time with Derby.

But they may have to work a bit harder to sign Ince as Hull City boss Steve Bruce says he is not for sale.

Reading

The Royals are targeting out of contract Swindon goalkeeper Wes Foderingham as a replacement for Adam Federici, who completed a deal to join Bournemouth earlier this week.

Foderingham was between the sticks for Swindon's 4-0 defeat in the League One Play-off Final defeat to Preston and spoke after the match about his situation.

“I made it clear at the start of the season that I felt I could play at a higher level and I want to try to play in the Championship," he said.

“The club hasn’t approached me or given me a contract or said ‘we want to keep you, here’s an offer’ so I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t spoken to other clubs."

Hull City

The recently-relegated club have had to release six players as they come to terms with life in the Championship.

Long-term players Paul McShane and Liam Rosenior are the stand out names as Yannick Sagbo, Maynor Figueroa, Steve Harper and Joe Dudgeon also exit the club.

Blackburn Rovers

The Lancashire Telegraph are reporting that, despite previous reports, Blackburn have received no approaches for striker Rudy Gestede.

It's highly likely that the 26-year-old won't be at Ewood Park next season and Watford are said to have offered £5 million to get him down to Vicarage Road.

But Rovers are said to be after more than £5 million for the man who netted 22 times last season.

Leeds United

A return to Leeds for Jermaine Beckford is said to be unlikely as their interest in the League One Play-off Final hero fades.

Owner Massimo Cellino made contact with the 31-year-old's representatives, but this was all before the arrival of new boys Uwe Rossler.

The German has drawn up a list of wanted players, but Beckford isn't on it, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves are joining Cardiff City in the race to sign out-of-favour Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle.

Bakary Sako is on his way out of Molineux and will leave a massive hole in their attack.

There's no doubt Gayle would be a good signing for both clubs, whether or not he has aspirations to return to the Championship is another question entirely.

Sheffield Wednesday

The Owls are looking to secure Manchester United striker Will Keane on a permanent deal for next season.

Keane spent the second half of last season on loan with Wednesday and manager Stuart Grey believes he could be the man to lead the line next season.

The striker is down the pecking order at Old Trafford so the Red Devils may be willing to listen to offers.
