Celtic have reportedly beaten Real Betis and QPR in securing a loan deal for Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford.

According to reports in Spain , Betis boss Gus Poyet was hoping his connections with the Stamford Bridge club would seal the deal while QPR were said to be offering Bamford first team football closer to home.

But Estadio Deportivo claims that Celtic have beaten the competition and Bamford is set to spend 2016/17 with the Scottish Champions.

The La Liga giants have been linked with a surprise move for the France international, and although the Chronicle reports no bid has yet been received the report also reveals the interest is genuine.
