TOWN'S Young Terriers are having a recruitment drive for the rest of this season.

The organisation for eight to 13-year-olds now have a permanent new base in the Sports Barn at Leeds Road Playing Fields.

They meet there from noon on each home League matchday (not tomorrow!) and up to 40 youngsters regularly attend.

Chairman Steve Brooks explained: "We play five-a-side football and other games and we also get visits from players every now and again.

"When everyone has collected their match programme and had lunch, we go up to the stadium for about 2pm and then we have our own sections in the stands.

"We have various other events throughout the year - our Christmas Party this time might well be a tenpin bowling trip - and there are trips off to away games, like Blackpool in the League next weekend."

Anyone wanting to join the Young Terriers can either contact the club or simply turn up at the Sports Barn before the next home League game against Oldham on Saturday, November 25. The cost for season ticket holders is £6 per meeting, all-inclusive, while it's £12 for those without a season ticket.
