Huddersfield Town Under 21s will play a pre-season friendly against Guernsey on Wednesday, August 3 (7.45).

The clash with the Isthmian League side will take place at their Footes Lane ground in Saint Peter Port.

Up for grabs will be the Mike Thomas Memorial Trophy.

The club physio, who was originally from Huddersfield and a keen Town fan, died last year after a battle with motor neurone disease.

His son Dan has taken over the role.

Formed in 2011, Guernsey finished 13th in the Isthmian League First Division South.

Funds generated by the fixture will be used to compensate any of the club’s part-time players who suffer a loss of earnings when injured.

Frankie Bunn’s Town side, who won this season Professional Development League II play-offs, have four other friendly trips fixed up.
