ALEX SMITHIES
His positive punching caught the eye, particularly when making a fine stoppage-time save from Hulse. 8

PAUL DIXON
Like Hunt, the Scotsman had to focus on hampering Charlton’s threat from wide, and he played a key role. 7

JACK HUNT
Southern’s sending off meant his work was more defensive than attacking, and he showed up well. 7

PETER CLARKE
Missed a great early chance and his loose clearance led to Charlton’s goal, but otherwise he was bang on. 7

JOEL LYNCH
The centre-back really impressed with his workrate, tackling, heading and positional sense. 8

ADAM CLAYTON
Cool, calm and collected – the only negative was the fifth booking of the season which brings a one-match ban. 8

KEITH SOUTHERN
The central midfielder competed strongly before his harsh straight red card in the 35th minute. 7

OLIVER NORWOOD
His set-piece deliveries failed to trouble Charlton, but otherwise put in a good stint in difficult circumstances. 7

LEE NOVAK
Came close to scoring before Southern’s sending off and did a great job as a lone striker after it. 8

SIMON CHURCH
The red card meant the on-loan Reading man took on a deeper role, and he responded willingly. 7

DANNY WARD
The wideman was lively in the opening stages, but his influence waned as the match wore on. 7

Substitutes:
Scott Arfield (for Norwood, 71mins) 7;
Alan Lee (for Novak, 77) 8;
Adam Hammill (for Ward, 84) 7.

Excellent result under the circumstances. Ref an idiot. Cost a lot for wife, daughter and I to go and the game was spoilt by a card happy idiot(well card happy when HTAFC players tackled). A FANTASTIC save by Alex at the death. Trevor, Horbury.

Amazing effort from the players and brilliant substitutions from Simon Grayson. Walt, Northants

Good beginning and ending, we stuck at it and deserved the reward at the end. Still gave the ball away too regularly, but at least the team ended my personal viewing record of three succesive defeats. The referee was just a little better than last week! Philip, London

Great belief and fightback by Town's ten after the undeserved sending-off of Southern. Just over 1000 of us gave brilliant noisy support - oh for more of the same at home games! David, Horsham

Southern's red card seemed a bit harsh. Felt like a win in the end. Great tactics from Simon Grayson, keeping it tight and going for it in the last 15 mins. Bob Farrell. Barnet

Well done Town true Terrier performance one point that feels like three points. Bradley Blues

A gritty performance to gain a deserved point. IMO only DW was poor . JH played well in defence and going forward and others who I thought were outstanding were JL, AC, and the tireless LN. James, Sheffield

Players like Southern will get red cards nowadays, as its becoming more and more a non-contact sport, which is spoiling our game. We have a good team spirit and we fight and battle, but Simon Grayson needs to go out in January and bring in a premiership quality midfield player and striker. Then, promotion is attainable. Stephen, Tenerife

Huddersfield should have been two up but in the end had the keeper to thank for getting the draw. Charlton fan

Super sub Alan Lee changed the game. Great away support. A good point won. Rob, Kirkheaton

Joel Lynch best player on the pitch. Michael, Huddersfield

Fantastic battling performance by ten men. Tony, Golcar

Back to True Grit and laid the ghost of last week's performance. We know the referee has a hard job to do but "give us a break" last week he was conned all match with time wasting tactics and this one was simply not up to the task. But we'll done Town and other ground out never say die result. Just hope no more cards before Saturday. Trojanhorse Kirkburton
