We are fast approaching a decade of notable Huddersfield Town centenaries.

The centenary celebration in 2022, of Town’s only FA Cup Final victory, may seem a long way off.

It is a long way off, until you consider the time-scale involved in setting up a museum.

The grants available are not easy to obtain, they often involve quite tedious, time-consuming application processes.

This is why we need to get the ball rolling. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that Huddersfield Town’s very own Heritage Centre will be ‘up and running’ by the 2020s.

What about the 1920s? ‘Those were the days’ and we should celebrate and give all due recognition to Town’s record-breaking achievements.

On Monday representatives from HTSA met with Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director, Sean Jarvis. The meeting had just one agenda item: “The formation of a Committee to oversee the museum project”.

During the next few days HTSA will be contacting all those supporters who have expressed an interest and who it was felt had invaluable skills and experience. The hope being that they will be prepared to commit some of their precious spare time to the museum project.

The good news is, it isn’t too late to get involved. If you have any views on the subject please contact Trev Whitehead on 07725 036109 or email trevwhitehead@virginmedia.com.

The 2014-15 Football League play-offs and FA Cup Final are now over and our domestic football season has come to a close.

But do not worry, there are only 13 days remaining before the 2015-16 fixture list is announced. “Pounds per Goal”, the John Smiths’ Stadium is the place to be a season card holder, real Championship value!

HTSA hope that fans will be getting behind the Terriers and, with almost 7,000 season cards already sold, it is possible that the sales total for last season will be beaten.

Big changes aimed at cranking up the stadium atmosphere are being planned. Not since the earliest days of its construction have Town fans been able to buy season cards for the South Stand (Chadwick Lawrence Stand).

After all the campaigning let’s make sure that we get behind the lads – and behind both goals.

If you haven’t purchased your season card yet, or you are still considering whether or not to renew, we would like to know: “What will persuade you to join us at the John Smith's Stadium?”

Today’s Free Draw number, 25665, is worth £110. If this is one of the three numbers printed on your HTSA membership card please send details of your full name and postal address by text to 07725 036109 or by email to trevwhitehead@virginmedia.com before 19.08 tomorrow, Friday June 5.

You will receive your £110 cheque by return of post. The winning number last week was 14316 and was worth £100. The holder of the winning number, R Orwin, did not claim the prize.
