COLCHESTER United star Ian Henderson has warned Town: “We won’t give up the play-off chase.”

The Essex side, who trail Lee Clark’s side by six points with nine to play for, go into tomorrow’s home meeting with Tranmere aiming to seal victory and hoping Town slip up at Stockport.

That would set up an intriguing clash between League I’s sixth and seventh-placed sides at the Galpharm tomorrow week.

Midfielder Henderson said he and his teammates remain determined despite their recent poor run.

“We train with the same mood, because we’re still in with a chance,” he said.

“We have to keep on smiling. If we feel defeated, anyone will see that.”
