TOWN supporters will be hoping for double figures from the man wearing No10 this season.

That's the shirt which will be worn by Junior Mendes, their new frontline signing from Mansfield.

Fellow new boy, midfield capture Chris Brandon, has the No7 shirt in a 22-man squad, one of the smallest in Coca-Cola League I.

While No7 was worn by Tyrone Thompson last season, Jon Newby had 10.

Eight players retain the same numbers, goalkeeper Ian Gray (1), Lee Fowler (4), Steve Yates (5), Tony Carss (8), Pawel Abbott (9), Efe Sodje (16), Jon Worthington (18) and Andy Booth (23).

There are upgrades for both Andrew Holdsworth and Anthony Lloyd, who have made the wing-back slots their own.

Holdsworth, who was 21, takes over the No2 shirt from Martyn Booty, who is now on the coaching staff.

Lloyd, previously 24, moves up to No3, with Rob Edwards now wearing 14.

Nathan Clarke, who was 15, moves up to No6 in place of Ian Hughes while fellow centre-back David Mirfin drops 27 in favour of the No17 shirt previously taken by Paul Scott.

Striker John McAliskey will now wear No20.
