Conor Coady says there’s no reason why Huddersfield Town can’t rediscover the killer touch which saw off Millwall, Wolves, Blackpool and Nottingham Forest.
Having gone seven Championship games unbeaten, Coady and Co head to Bolton Wanderers having claimed just one point from the last nine.
But the midfielder is far from downbeat as he prepares for a possible head to head with ex-Liverpool teammate Jay Spearing.
“We’re all up for this one and we’re ready to produce a good performance,” promised the ever-upbeat 21-year-old.
“It’s been well chronicled that we did okay against Derby, Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday. We gave a good account of ourselves against a very good Derby side, and we should have taken more from the last two games.
“The plus against Wednesday was the clean sheet, and we need to produce another while taking our chances at the other end.”
Coady enjoyed playing alongside on-loan West Ham United teenager Diego Poyet as Chris Powell reshuffled his midfield last week.
“Diego’s a top player. I faced him when I was on loan at Sheffield United last season and he was at Charlton,” said the August arrival.
“He’s a good addition to the squad, he gives us that bit more strength in depth and he gives the gaffer options. I think all us midfielders are used to playing a different systems, so we have the ability to chop and change.”
