READING have reduced admission prices for the Carling Cup third-round clash with Town at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday, October 28 (8.00).

Tickets purchased in advance by Town fans will cost £10 for adults, £5 for senior citizens and students and just £1 for Under 15s.

In addition, a Town season- ticket holder who buys five adults tickets at once will pay only £40.

Admission to the Berkshire ground on the night will be £15 adults and £10 concessions.

Reading, meanwhile, have upset a section of their support by deciding to close the behind-the-goal North Stand to home fans for the tie.

While Town will be cheered on by supporters at one end, the Reading fans will be down each of the touchlines.

"The North Stand is the one which generates all the real atmosphere," said one unhappy Royals fan.

"For the sake of a few hundred pounds, we could lose the huge potential revenue of a Carling Cup run."

Reading, who have still to confirm the successor as manager to Alan Pardew, were held 2-2 at home to Bradford on on Saturday, and are 12th in Division I.
