ATHLETICO MONKEY have been crowned Kirklees Sunday League champions.

They did not have it all there own way though and they were made to work very hard for their Inter-Divisional 5-4 victory over lowly Division II side Helion at Newsome HS.

Helion battled well with Jonny Askin solid at the back and Simeon Fletcher showing up well up front.

Ben Siddiq fired a hat trick with Scott Ryan and Simon Davies on target for the winners.

Liam Riley, an own goal and two for Askin was almost earn a point for Helion.

Cup finalists Britannia Sports beat basement side Field Head 7-3 to clinch second spot in Division I.

Ryan Lach went nap with five goals, and Gerard Lenihan and Andy Walsh each notched one.

Pak Rangers claimed third spot in the division after their 2-0 victory over struggling Woodfield Park. Aamer Gaffer and Kulvinder Singh struck for Rangers.

And in Division II, subject to official confirmation by a management committee decision on an unfulfilled fixture, GMB Meltham will clinch second place in Division II, after a 5-3 win over HD One.
