Dram Community FC, fresh from winning promotion to the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division under former Huddersfield Town striker Rodney Rowe, are to hold trial for their new development team on Saturday, June 18.

They will take place on the 3G pitch at PPG Canalside (HD2 1YG) from 11.00am to 12.30pm and players aged 16 to 21 from throughout Huddersfield and beyond are welcome to attend (moulded boots or blades are the recommended footwear).

The development team, like the first team based at the Dram Centre off Ridgeway in Dalton, will play in the County Amateur Second Division and work closely with the first team. There will be joint training sessions and progression to the higher side for players who excel.

To register for the trials (supply name, address, date of birth, playing history and preferred position) or for more information, email dramcommuntyfc@gmail,com or ring 07932 377932.

Dram (Dalton, Rawthorpe and Moldgreen) encourage all involved with the club to ensure football is competitive, challenging and, most importantly, enjoyable.

Rowe, who comes from Rawthorpe, came through Town’s academy to make 46 first-team appearances before an £80,000 transfer to York City in February 1997. He also played for Gillingham and Hull City as well as a number of non-league clubs.
