Elvis Manu back in fold against Burnley after internal disciplinary from Huddersfield Town

David Wagner confirms why Brighton winger was left out against Reading

Elvis Manu is back in the fold for Huddersfield Town

Elvis Manu is back in consideration for the clash with Burnley after being left out of Huddersfield Town’s squad against Reading because of “an internal disciplinary matter”.

Head coach David Wagner refused to expand on the exact offence, but he confirmed the Brighton loan man was not included for the 3-1 victory despite being fit.

“It was for an internal disciplinary matter,” said Wagner, who is without only injured Jonathan Hogg and new signing Rajiv van La Parra against Sean Dyche’s Championship leaders.

“We had a deal in the squad about how we were going to do things, and he didn’t keep his end of the bargain.

“It is not a big thing, this happens all the time in football, but discipline is important to what we want to do, so that is why there was action and a fine.”

Manu is expected to be fit to face Burnley after having a cold for the last couple of days.
