Former Huddersfield Town loan player Lee Croft is training with Oldham Athletic - and could feature in Saturday’s friendly against David Wagner’s side.

But ex-Town centre-back Anthony Gerrard, who like Croft finished last season with the Latics, has not reappeared at SportDirect.com (Boundary) Park.

Midfielder Croft, with Town in 2010/11, has had three separate spells at Oldham.

The 31-year-old first joined them on loan from first club Manchester City in 2004.

And another loan, this time from Derby County, was made permanent in 2013.

After a stint with St Johnstone in Scotland, Croft returned to Oldham on a 12-month contract a year ago.

Croft, who has also played for Norwich City, managed only one Town start and six appearances in all.

Gerrard, 30, had a spell on loan to Oldham from Town in 2014/15.

He signed a short-term deal there last January and made 18 appearances in League I.
