SAM COLLINS will have big backing from his family when he aims to extend his scoring run against Town at Vale Park tomorrow.
The former Leeds Road defender will have his three children and two nephews as mascots against Peter Jackson's side.
He will also have 16 family friends in the main stand as he aims to add to the goals he scored home and away against Town when the clubs last met in the 2002-03 campaign.
"I'm looking forward to playing against my old club, especially with all my friends and family there," said Collins, whose brother Simon also played for Town.
"Town have a lot of experience in their side and some good young players as well, but we've got a superb home record and we have to keep that going."
Collins will be marking Andy Booth and commented: "I've played against him loads of times and everyone knows how good he is in the air.
"I'm sure we will both be black and blue after the game!"
Vale manager Martin Foyle said: "We've done well at home and just had a good away win, but tomorrow will not be easy.
"I saw Huddersfield annihilate Hull last weekend with two big lads up front who cause problems, but we've had a good start and I'm quietly confident."
