Huddersfield Town put a stop to their seven-match winless run with a 2-1 win over Ipswich Town as frontline pairing Nahki Wells and James Vaughan struck to secure a crucial three points.

The duo were a menace throughout as Town boosted their survival prospects significantly with a first three-point haul in eight games, despite Luke Varney pulling once back for Mick McCarthy's play-off chasing side early in the second half.

There was a rare starting berth for Oscar Gobern and the midfielder managed to win your affections with a committed display, while Joel Lynch also impressed you once more with a typically dominant showing in defence.

Town played great and I just wish they could do that every week. Butterfield is class!Chris, Barnsley.

It was a great team performance. Gobern had a good game with some good passes, keeping the game moving. Wells was fantastic and chased everything.Jason, Mirfield.

Let's not get carried away, yes it was a brilliant first half performance and a gritty second half, but why have we seen this only in fits and starts, was there a hint of playing for next year's contracts about it? We know this team can do it, but only when they want. Need a big step up next season or we will be playing catch up again, but nice to see a Town team play well.David, Wyke.

Overall a much better performance. If this manager still thinks Wells and Vaughan can't play together after this display, he needs his eyes testing.Brian, Brighouse.

Good work in defence throughout and further forward, turning a ponderous Ipswich defence with forceful attacking play until midfield ran out of energy in the heat and their second match in three days. Earlier subs would have helped.Ian, County Durham.

This squad can play well enough to beat anybody in this division but somehow Powell needs to find some level of consistency - not always as good as this maybe but not the very poor shows we do get. That will be key to next year I think.Roger, Menston.

A superb performance all round, bar the first 10 minutes in each half. A brilliant display from Scannell and Wells after non-existent showings on Saturday at Sheffield Wednesday. If we could only play like this all the time, then we'd be going for the play-offs and not scraping off relegation fears.James, Mirfield.

Controlled and professional. Why can't we play like that every week. Great to see Lynch back to his best.Ian, Holmfirth.

At last we see a game out after playing some terrific stuff in the first half. Whilst I know we played the day after Ipswich so they had longer to recover, I was surprised how tired so many players looked. The biggest disappointment in an otherwise great game was the lack of picking players up from throw ins which cost us another goal. Credit where it's due, we deserved the win.Allan, Liversedge.

A strong performance throughout the side. Gobern fitted in well in midfield. Our defence was outstanding. Thank you for easing our relegation worries. Keep it up for the rest of the season.Arthur, Shepley.
