Holt, on loan from Wigan until December 28, scored one and made another as an imposing Forest side were swept away 3-0.
He said: “What you’re seeing is players in full flow and it’s good to watch. The way we played as a team was excellent.
“The fans are seeing the best of us at the moment. We’ve got to keep doing what we’re doing because we’ve two tough away games coming up.”
Holt credited boss Chris Powell with the up-turn in form and added: “He’s brought the team together.
“He comes in every day wanting the lads to enjoy themselves. If you train with a smile on your face you play with a smile on your face.
“The gaffer’s certainly getting the best out of the lads. We’re enjoying each other’s company day in, day out.”
