WE completely battered Hull for the first 20 minutes and I don't think they knew what had hit them.

The lads got the ball down and played really well and, at the back, I thought we defended superbly.

We were strong when we had to be and, when Hull had their better spells, we soon got back on top of the game.

Everyone was delighted with the clean sheet and especially Trigger (Ian Gray).

All our hearts sank when the referee gave them a penalty with less than 10 minutes left, but Trigger made a great save and he was outstanding. He deserved it.

We all wanted that clean sheet, though, and for it to come in a win was just brilliant for everyone.

When we kept a clean sheet against Chesterfield it wasn't really the same feeling because we only drew, but this was great.

The result has given everyone a massive lift and I think it shows what we can do when we play well.

People know Hull are going to be one of the sides who will be up at the top end of the table come the end of the season, so for us to beat them 4-0 and, to be fair, make them look a very ordinary side, is a great effort. We knew if we got after them from the start we could play well and win the game and that's what we did.
