TEN man FC Halifax Town battled hard to earn a replay against Dartford in the quarter-final of the FA Trophy at The Shay.

The Shaymen will now have to travel to Kent next Wednesday night in order to decide who will face Grimsby Town in the FA Trophy semi-finals.

Town’s evening threatened to become disastrous when Chris Worsley received a straight red card for a dangerous lunge on Mark Arber.

The midfielder jumped into the tackle with his studs shown, with Dartford’s defender, who finished the match, lucky to escape injury.

However it did not stop Town from taking the lead through Lee Gregory, who converted his tenth goal of the season.

Danny Harris levelled for the visitors with a little under twenty minutes remaining.

He nodded in from three yards after an initial Dartford corner was headed back towards goal, where the substitute made sure of the goal.

Chelsea have written to the Football Association arguing that Eden Hazard should not be banned for more than three matches for kicking a ball boy during their Capital One Cup semi-final, second leg at Swansea.

Hazard was sent off for kicking 17-year-old Charlie Morgan as he attempted to retrieve the ball during the Blues’ 0-0 draw at the Liberty Stadium.

The FA are considering extending Hazard’s ban beyond the usual punishment of three games after they charged him with violent conduct on January 25. It is understood that the Blues have submitted paperwork with the FA, arguing that a longer ban would be unjust.
