FC HALIFAX Town bounced back into the top six of the Blue Square North after a convincing 4-0 win over Vauxhall Motors at the Shay.

After ten days without a league game, the Shaymen were looking to make up for lost time and to make up ground on the leading clubs and Neil Aspin’s men did so in style in front of a crowd of 858.

The game was just ten minutes old when Alex Titchiner, on loan from League II newcomers Fleetwood Town, latched on to a flick on by Gareth Seddon and finished smartly.

The Shaymen went two up three minutes later when striker Seddon headed in from a corner.

Just before half-time Titchiner almost made it three but his effort was well saved by keeper Zac Jones, and the home side were looking comfortable at 2-0 ahead at half-time.

Midfielder Jon Worthington all but wrapped things up in the second half with a well-taken third goal on 52 minutes and Alex Johnson made it four five minutes from time.
