FC Halifax Town have had tpo call off their Vanarama Conference Premier home meeting with Eastleigh tonight.

The Shaymen were aiming to make it five Vanarama Conference wins on the trot following their 1-0 home win against Braintree to maintain their play-off push, but a waterlogged pitch at The Shay has forced the match to be postponed.

It is the second time in just over a month the fixture has been called off due to the pitch at The Shay, with the original date of January 17 being postponed because of a frozen pitch.

Town’s next game will now be away at Kidderminster on Saturday and as things stand the Shaymen are not scheduled to play at The Shay until March 7 when Dartford are the visitors.

Brighouse Town have rearranged their Evo Stik Northern Premier League game at New Mills for Monday, March 9 (7.45).

The Derbyshire duel was postponed on Saturday because of waterlogging.

Town, next in action at home to Burscough on Saturday, are 16th in the First Division North.

Padiham drew 1-1 at Burscough on Saturday.
