Brighouse Town have already made round two courtesy of Monday’s 2-1 win at Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North rivals Harrogate Railway Athletic.

Brighouse’s junior side won through to the second round qualifying of the FA Youth Cup by beating Guiseley 4-2 on penalties after a 3-3 draw after extra time at St Giles Road.

On Saturday FC Halifax Town manager Neil Aspin’s team face a Vanarama Conference Premier test away to Braintree Town.

After the 5-0 demolition of AFC Telford United Aspin said: “I was pleased with the display against Telford because I thought that we only gave them one sniff of goal.”
