There has been an international boost for FC Halifax Town with three players called up to the England C squad.

FC Halifax Town trio Marc Roberts, Matt Pearson and James Bolton have all been called up to the England C side to play the Cyprus Under 21 side.

The Three Lions will take on their hosts at the Ammochotos Stadium in Larnaca on Tuesday, February 17, with the match kicking-off at 1pm.

With the FA extremely keen to have the outstanding ties form the FA Trophy’s third round concluded as soon as possible FC Halifax Town’s replay with Dartford has been moved to Droylsden’s Butchers Arms ground this afternoon.

After discussions with Calderdale Council, the Shaymen decided it was not possible to guarantee any prospect of staging a game at The Shay over this weekend, either Saturday or Sunday.

The club are hoping that the pitch is able to recover to a playing condition some time soon and a club spokesman said: “We are very grateful to Dave Pace (Droylsden owner, chairman and manager) and his colleagues for allowing us to stage this vital tie.

“The club can only apologise for having to move the game away from The Shay and we are assured that the Droylsden pitch will be playable unless there is some incredibly heavy rain or returning freezing temperatures.”

The Shaymen and the Darts are striving to secure a home tie against either Gateshead or Wrexham, who also play today, in the next round.
