TEAM captain Efe Sodje looked ahead to the huge McAlpine decider against Lincoln on Wednesday and declared: "We're all up for it!"

The 31-year-old Nigerian World Cup star returned in the 2-1 play-off semi-final first leg win at Sincil Bank after being banned for the two matches in which battling Town missed out on automatic promotion.

He is now completely focused on clearing the final hurdle to reach the Third Division final at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on Monday, May 31, and believes Town are destined to go up.

"I've won promotion at every club I've been with, this is my first time in the play-offs and I want to be a winner," said Sodje.

"I honestly thought I could hang my boots up until July because we would go straight up, but we are in the play-offs now and there's massive determination among the lads to go through to the final and finish the season off with promotion.

"All the boys are ready for the big game on Wednesday, we are up for it and we are ready to handle everything that Lincoln want to throw at us.

"We did that on Saturday and we will do it again."

Sodje was one of four new faces in the Town starting line-up at Sincil Bank and will lead the team again at the McAlpine.

"It was a great team display but we know we will need another on Wednesday to finish it," he said.

"Everyone was disappointed about the previous week, but we went out at Lincoln and played in do-or-die style.

"I don't want to be pushing any buttons too early, but if we play in the second leg like we did in the first we will be very hard to beat.

"We just want all our fans to come down, pack the stadium and, hopefully, we can reward then with a place at Cardiff."
