Jordy Hiwula is set for another Monday run-out with Huddersfield Town Under 21s.

The former Manchester City striker is back from a loan spell with Wigan Athletic in League I.

He featured as Frankie Bunn’s development side made the Under 21 Premier League Cup semi-finals at the expense of Charlton Athletic.

Now he is set to line up away to Bolton Wanderers in the Professional Development League II.

Hiwula was signed on a three-year contract in a £150,000 summer deal (Town have the option of an additional 12 months).

The 21-year-old, whose only Town appearance was in the Capital One Cup first-round clash at home to Notts County, scored six times for the Latics.

And head coach David Wagner wants him to press his claims for a first-team call-up.

“We have to get a feeling for each other,” said Wagner.

“Jordy needs playing time and last Monday’s minutes were very important for him.

“He will make progress, but we will put no pressure on him.”

Hiwula played the whole of the Charlton tie, which went to extra time, and scored in Town’s 5-4 penalty shoot-out win.

The Bolton game takes place at the Lancashire FA headquarters at Leyland (7.00).

Town top PDL II North and are seeking a 17th win in 19 games in all competitions.

They lost 2-0 at nearest rivals Sheffield United in their last league match.

Bolton were beaten 2-1 at the John Smith’s Stadium back in November.

Town, defeated at the quarter-final stage last season, are yet to find out their opponents in the semi-finals, with the date of the draw yet to be fixed.

West Ham United are also through after victory over Blackburn Rovers.

Town have parted company with Scottish development squad striker Liam Coogans by mutual consent.

The Under 18s lost for the first time in the PDL II since October, 2-1 to Sheffield Wednesday. Lewis O’Brien scored in the home game.
