NOTTINGHAM Forest extended their lead at the top of League I to six points as they came from a goal down to beat Millwall 3-1.

Scunthorpe's 2-0 win at Yeovil took them up to second, but Colin Calderwood's Forest continue to set the pace.

They started poorly as Ben May put Millwall, Town's next opponents at The New Den tomorrow week, ahead in the fourth minute at the City Ground.

But Forest forged ahead with two goals in as many minutes, from Junior Agogo (65) and James Perch (67).

The three points were secured when Ian Breckin headed in Nicky Southall's 82nd-minute corner.

Billy Sharp's two goals against Yeovil ensured Scunthorpe are Forest's nearest challengers.

The 20-year-old former Sheffield United trainee took his tally for the season to 16 with a goal in each half.

Bournemouth climbed two places but remain in the relegation zone after a goalless draw at Bradford, who had Dean Windass sent off in the 13th minute.

Rotherham's six-match unbeaten league run came to an end at Gillingham, who won through a Gary Mulligan goal in the 23rd minute.

Carlisle remain eighth, despite coming from 2-0 down to beat Port Vale 3-2 at Brunton Park. Paul Harsley (26) and Jeff Smith (40) appeared to put the visitors in control - but the Cumbrians fought back.

Derek Holmes drilled in from a Peter Murphy cross (66), Karl Hawley equalised 11 minutes later, and Murphy headed the winner nine minutes from time.

Crewe stayed in ninth after a dramatic 2-2 draw at home to Chesterfield.

The Alex led 1-0, thanks to Luke Varney (64), with five minutes to go - only for Derek Niven to equalise.

Luke Rodgers restored the hosts' lead (89), but Kevan Hurst levelled again in the second minute of injury time.

Doncaster moved up six places to 12th by beating Brighton 1-0 with a Mark McCammon goal.
