Emyr Huws says Huddersfield Town are keeping their feet firmly on the ground as they go for a third successive Championship win at home to Nottingham Forest.

Chris Powell’s side plan to build on their victories at Charlton Athletic and at home to Bolton Wanderers in the Thursday evening showdown in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

On-loan Wigan Athletic midfielder Huws, Town’s three-goal top scorer, said: “We are confident we can beat any team when we play like we just have and there is no reason why we can’t start a run.

“We go into the Forest game full of confidence but we will not get ahead of ourselves.

“We’ll just do things right on the training ground and in matches and try to keep producing the performances we need.”

Wales international Huws is among five loan signings by Powell.

Nottingham Forest forward Jamie Paterson is ruled out against his parent club.

But Aston Villa keeper Jed Steer, Bournemouth centre-back Elliott Ward and Middlesbrough winger Muzzy Carayol are all in line to figure.

“We are all getting to grips with each other and learning what each other is all about,” added Huws, who is on a season-long deal.

“It takes time to get to know our various strengths and that is only going to make us better.

“We are starting to believe as well but we need to keep it going.”

SkyBet have both Town and Forest at 13/8 to win with the draw 23/10.

The same firm have Huws, who notched twice against Bolton, at 17/2 to be the first scorer.

Ishmael Miller, one of two Forest old boys in the Town side alongside centre-back Joel Lynch, is 13/2.

Turnstile admission to all areas other than the Revell Ward Stand Upper Tier is £15 adults, £12 seniors and £5 Under 18s.
