Former Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Matt Glennon has signed a new one-year contract with FC Halifax Town.

The 36-year-old joined the Shaymen in 2012 and helped them win promotion to the National League top flight in 2013.

The Stockport-born stopper made 54 appearances last season, when Halifax finished ninth.

Glennon, who also runs a hairdressers in Emley, made 122 Town appearances between 2006-10.

He has also played for Bolton Wanderers, Hull City, Carlisle United, Falkirk, St Johnstone, Bradford City, Stockport County and Chester.
