Former Huddersfield Town boss Mark Robins is being linked with a return to management at Blackpool.
The Tangerines look set to part company with Jose Riga after a torrid start to the Championship campaign.
Robins left Town in the wake of the 4-0 opening-day home defeat by AFC Bournemouth.
The 44-year-old, who has also managed Rotherham United, Barnsley and Coventry City, is said to be ready to return to the game.
Blackpool have yet to gain as point this season and chairman Karl Oyston is reported to have targeted Owen Coyle to take charge.
But the former Burnley, Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic chief appears to have turned down the chance of another job.
And Burton Albion say their boss Gary Rowett has turned down a Blackpool approach.
Were Robins to be installed at Bloomfield Road, he would be reunited with defender Peter Clarke, his captain at Town.
Blackpool host Wolves on Saturday.
