Tommy Miller helped Huddersfield Town win at Wembley four years ago.

Now the former midfielder who featured in the League I play-off final win over Sheffield United is eyeing a return to the national stadium with FC Halifax Town.

The 37-year-old is assistant manager to Jim Harvey at The Shay.

And as they battle against relegation from the National League top flight Halifax are in the FA Trophy semi-finals.

They go into Saturday’s home second-leg showdown with Nantwich Town 4-2 up from the first leg in Cheshire.

In the other semi-final, Grimsby Town host Bognor Regis Town with a 1-0 advantage.

The Wembley showpiece is immediately after the FA Vase final on Sunday, May 22.

Halifax have never been to Wembley under any of the club’s guises (they reformed in 2008).

Harvey said: “We have a two-goal lead and we’ve got to make sure that we don’t make any mistakes and get through to the final.”

Miller made 33 Town appearances, scoring two goals, in 2011-12.

He also played for Hartlepool United, Ipswich Town, Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday, Swindon Town and Bury.

He signed for Halifax, initially as a player under then-manager Darren Kelly, in October.
