Former Huddersfield Town player Scott Sellars has joined the coaching staff at the club’s Championship rivals Wolves.

So has Rob Edwards – but not the ex-Town man, rather the one-time Wales international and Wolves defender.

Sellars, 48, who made 54 Town appearances between 1999-2001, will be Under 21 coach while Edwards, 31, takes charge of the Under 18s.

Sheffield-born midfielder Sellars played in the Premier League with Leeds, Blackburn, Newcastle and Bolton.

He was assistant manager at Chesterfield before joining Manchester City’s academy, eventually heading their entire structure.

He left in April after what is said to have been a difference in footballing opinion with the current regime.

Wolves director of football operations Kevin Thelwell said: “Following a restructure of the academy, we’re delighted to have appointed Scott and Rob.

“Scott will bring a high level of expertise in youth development.

“He also picked up some first-team experience in his role as assistant manager at Chesterfield and has been working at Manchester City for many years.”
