Huddersfield Town have had four players named in the WhoScored Championship team of the week.

The Terriers were magnificent again at the weekend as they stretched their unbeaten run to seven games - their best since returning to the Championship two seasons ago - with a comprehensive 3-0 win over former league leaders Nottingham Forest.

And Chris Powell's side were rewarded for their efforts with four players being selected in the statistical best XI in the division over the latest round of fixtures.

Alex Smithies, Joel Lynch, Jack Robinson and Grant Holt all took their place in the lineup, with Holt the third best player of the weekend with 8.79, Smithies narrowly behind on 8.75, while Lynch was ranked at 8.19 and Robinson 7.82.

Lynch and Holt both played key roles in the win, with the former opening the scoring after less than a minute before the on-loan Wigan Athletic striker set up Nahki Wells for a second and helped himself to a third.

Town were the highest represented team in the WhoScored side, but the honour of best player went to Ben Marshall (9.43), after the Blackburn Rovers winger scored a stunning free-kick and set up striker Rudy Gestede - the second-highest ranked player (9.26) - for one of his two goals.

Nahki Wells was Town's fifth highest-scoring individual with 8.1 but was ousted by Gestede from the lineup while Jacob Butterfield (7) kept up his good form and is the sole Terriers representative in the monthly best XI with a rating of 7.6 in the centre of midfield.
