FORMER Town captain Jon Worthington will NOT be offered a new contract at the Galpharm.

The gritty midfielder, who has been on loan at Yeovil, has not been figuring under manager Lee Clark, who is looking to re-shape his squad.

Clark said: "I have spoken to Jon and he will be looking for a new club in the summer.

"He has been a fantastic servant for Huddersfield Town but he is not part of my long-term plans.

"I have already sat down with him and told him that. I wanted to speak to him before I made a statement, and that's been done."

Worthington has been with Town from the age of nine and was in the play-off winning team at the Millennium Stadium in 2004.

Andy Holdsworth and Danny Cadamarteri have been made new contract offers.
