Huddersfield Town Under 21s made it two wins from as many pre-season games as they beat AFC Emley 4-0.

Jake Charles, Cedwyn Scott, Regan Booty and Luca Colville got the goals at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground, where Town head coach David Wagner watched Frankie Bunn’s charges build on their victory at Wigan Athletic.

Town, last season’s Professional Development League II champions, gave a trial to former Tottenham Hotspur winger Armani Daly.

Wales Under 21 forward Charles notched after 15 minutes in a game watched by 505 and refereed by Premier League whistler Bobby Madley.

Scott turned home a Jacob Hanson cross seven minutes into the second period.

Booty added the third three minutes later before winger Colville headed home on 79 minutes.

Keeper Tadhg Ryan was back in goal after a four-month injury lay-off.

Emley manager Darren Hepworth said: “We will benefit from that work-out.

“We never quite got our game going but credit our opponents for that!”

Town Under 21s are next in action away to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, July 30.

Northern Counties East League Emley continue their build-up to the First Division season with a home game against Premier Division Rainworth Miners’ Welfare on Thursday (7.45).

The club have extended their deal with longest-standing sponsor Wm Sykes and Son, the Holmfirth-based estate agency.

Their logo will be on the back of the first-team home shirts and the company remain the main sponsor of the development squad.
