TOWN'S players will get their first taste of the Millennium Stadium atmosphere tomorrow when they attend the First Division play-off final.

Peter Jackson's squad will be in the stands when Alan Pardew's West Ham do battle with Iain Dowie's Crystal Palace for a place in the Premiership.

On Sunday, Brighton and Bristol City do battle for promotion from the Second Division, with former Town loan striker and Player of the Year Leon Knight aiming to imspire Brighton.

Town, of course, play on Bank Holiday Monday.

All the matches kick off at 3pm and are being covered live by Sky TV.

YTV are showing highlights of the Town game on Monday night at 11.45pm.

Meanwhile, Michael Standing has completed a move to Walsall on a free transfer after his contract at Bradford was cancelled by mutual consent.

The 23-year-old midfielder renews his acquaintance with former Aston Villa teammate Paul Merson, who has made Standing his first signing as manager at the Bescot Stadium.

Standing reached a financial settlement with the Bantams as his contract was not due to expire until the end of the 2004-05 season.

Bradford have an All-stars fund-raising game at Valley Parade on Sunday.

Russell Slade has taken over as manager of Third Division Grimsby. Slade has left Conference side Scarborough.
