The international break could not have fallen at a better time – a great opportunity for a new boss to get to know his players and instil some of his “gegenpressing tactics”.

How can any Town fan not be excited at the prospect of David Wagner’s quick-passing, high-tempo ambitions?

Could there be a better fixture at which to unveil this ‘new direction’ than a derby against Sheffield Wednesday?

A 4-4 draw (and nine yellow cards) in 2011 may seem quite dull in comparison to the feast of football that many Terriers supporters are anticipating this weekend.

In December 2011 some Town supporters arrived at Hillsborough 20 minutes after the kick-off. Then, with Town trailing 4-2 and only 15 minutes remaining, they left the game before the final whistle. In so doing they missed all four Huddersfield Town goals.

At the moment Sheffield Wednesday are enjoying one of their best seasons for quite some time, so there could be a big upset on the cards.

Make sure that you are there to witness the full 90 minutes.

Telephone Rachael on 07905 580784 and reserve your seat on the HTSA coach.

There is even a chance to come home £250 richer if you are a paid up member of HTSA. Seats cost £9 for HTSA members, £11 for non-members and the coach leaves the John Smiths Stadium at 12.15.

On Monday evening there will be an opportunity to ask chairman Dean Hoyle about Huddersfield Town’s “new direction” when he is the special guest of HTSA’s Heavy Woollen Branch (7.30pm at Millbridge WMC). Get there early for a good seat.

Also next week the Huddersfield Town family will be saying sad farewells to two well-loved and respected supporters.

Andy Bolt and David Hargreaves were two of the most dedicated Town fans you could ever wish to meet.

The tremendous esteem in which both these gentlemen were held has been evident in the many tributes that have been paid on social media sites and in the local press. HTSA would like to offer our sincere condolences to both families as they come to terms with their sad loss.

The funeral service for Andy Bolt will be at 10.30am on Monday, November 23, at Dewsbury Crematorium. Andy’s instructions stipulated a strict dress code of football shirts or cricket shirts and for those who have neither, please wear blue or white but definitely no suits!

Local league cricketer and Huddersfield Town fan Andy Bolt who died on Sunday November 8th aged 56.

There will be a donation box with all proceeds going to Parkinson’s UK and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

David’s funeral will take place three days later at 2pm on Thursday, November 26, at Huddersfield Crematorium. Anyone who knew David, either from his involvement in coaching the

Huddersfield Town Supporters Club football team or from the many hours he spent on the terraces watching Town, is more than welcome.

Both were true gentlemen and will be very sadly missed by all who knew them.
