FC HALIFAX Town have issued an urgent SOS ... shovel off the snow!

The Shay club want supporters to turn out at their stadium tomorrow to help clear the pitch.

Halifax are desperate to do all they can to ensure Saturday’s big FA Trophy quarter-final tie against Dartford goes ahead.

They are urging fans to start shifting the white stuff at 9.00am.

Dartford, whose home league game against Braintree tonight is already off, are seventh in the Blue Square Premier.

Barrow host Gateshead in an outstanding Trophy tie tonight.

The winners will go to Blue Square North side Gainsborough Trinity in the quarter-finals on Saturday.

It’s Southport against Wrexham and Grimsby versus Luton in the other two games.

Halifax are due to visit Ossett Town in the West Riding FA County Cup semi-finals tomorrow.

The Under 19s’ Football Conference Youth Alliance match at Midlands side Chasetown tomorrow has already been postponed.
