Harry Bunn has thrown his hat in the ring to lead Huddersfield Town’s attack against Brentford.

Top scorer Nahki Wells is ruled out of the final match of the season by a knee injury which will need a summer of rest to heal.

Amid hints by head coach David Wagner he may tweak his usual 4-2-1-3 formation, Bunn is eager to be spearhead in the John Smith’s Stadium clash.

“If I’m asked to go up front, I’ll look forward to it,” said the six-goal 23-year-old.

“I played there in the youth team at Manchester City.”

Bunn took on the central role when 18-goal Wells was substituted at half-time in the 4-0 defeat at Bristol City.

While he tops Town’s seasonal assists chart with eight, Bunn would like to boost his goal tally.

“I feel I have more in me, and we all want to end the season on a high,” he added.
