EX-TOWN defender Sean Hessey has joined Second Division Blackpool after being released by Scottish club Kilmarnock.

The 25-year-old was signed by boss Steve McMahon after training at Bloomfield Road for a month.

"He has played in central defence and at full-back. He has two good feet and I think he is well worth taking a closer look at," he said.

Liverpool-born Hessey made 12 appearances for Town in 1998-99, during Peter Jackson's first spell as manager, after moving from Wigan.

He played 46 times for Killie.

Bradford's home First Division game against Watford on Tuesday, March 2 will be free for both sets of supporters. The club hope for a crowd of more than 20,000.
