ADAM PEARSON is hoping to get the thumbs up after making what he described as “a very fair offer” to buy Town.

Owner and chairman Ken Davy confirmed he has received Pearson’s bid for the League I club and will respond “in due course”.

Pearson said: “I have put in an offer which I consider a very fair one for a club which only has a lease and no assets other than the players.

“We will wait and see what the Huddersfield Town board think of it, but I would hope they find the offer successful and we can move forward.”

Former Hull City chief Pearson – who sold his interest at the KC Stadium in the summer – has been looking to get back into football and has said he would “try extremely hard” to make a deal for Town.
