Huddersfield Town have won just one of their last five to slip to 16th, so it’s little wonder bookies aren’t entirely sure they’ll pick up maximum points at freefalling Blackpool, a match made even less predictable by the fact that only three Championship teams have suffered more defeats on the road than Mark Robins’ side.

Many firms are having difficulty deciphering the clash, including BetVictor, who chalk both teams up at 9/5 to emerge victorious. That’s sure to prompt punters to opt for the stalemate at 9/4 with Paddy Power while a score draw (15/4, bet365) and Ladbrokes’ 6/1 about a 1-1 scoreline are also set to be popular.

Town’s last away fixture (at Charlton) was goalless, a result that’s 15/2 via BetVictor ahead of this one and it would be no surprise if travelling fans were inclined to back their team ‘Draw No Bet’ at even money (William Hill).

There might be interest too, at 4/9 courtesy of Stan James, for Robins’ men to avoid defeat, but the Seasiders are on such a dismal run that this contest provides Town with an ideal chance to turn the corner.

Skybet chalk them up at 10/3 to shade it by a one-goal margin at Bloomfield Road, where they’re 7/1 (BetVictor) to nick it 1-0 and 5/1 with Stan James to prevail despite a level first half.

As the hosts don’t score many, a case can be made for bet365’s 3/1 about a Town triumph ‘to nil’, as well as Stan James’s 4/7 for the match to produce fewer than three goals.

Blackpool’s lack of cutting edge also strengthens the case for Town to net first at 11/10 via betway, an opener that’s 11/2 (bet365) to come from Nahki Wells.

At the other end, Winner.com post 39/20 against a clean sheet for Robins’ team.
