Did you take our Huddersfield Town 2013/2014 end-of-season survey? If so, here are the answers you have been waiting for.

Question 1: Who is your Huddersfield Town player of the season?

Given that he was crowned the club's player of the season as voted for by Town fans, it hardly seems surprising that Adam Clayton came out victorious once again in this particular poll.

Clayton received a stunning 61.49% of the voting, as Town fans chose the midfield maestro as their star man despite Town's at times disappointing campaign.

The 25-year-old was hardly rivalled in this area, with the nearest challenger coming in Paul Dixon, who amassed 8.07% of the vote, while Adam Hammill was the next closest on 7.87%.

The only other players to achieve double figures from the votes were Nahki Wells (6.63%), Alex Smithies (4.14%) and James Vaughan and Danny Ward (2.07%).

Question 2: Which player has disappointed you most this season?

This proved a far more evenly-spread set of results, with several Town players frustrating the supporters with their performances across the season.

By way of contrast, some 11 players achieved double figures in voting terms, while the range in percentage between that set of players was less than 20% (2.65% - 21.85%).

Jonathan Stead, despite netting the winner in the west Yorkshire derby against Leeds United, was the winner, or indeed loser, in this category with 21.85% of the vote, but he had some close competitors.

In second place was Martin Paterson, who joined Stead in leaving Town on loan for the remainder of the season, with 13.69% and third was summer signing Jonathan Hogg, with 11.48% of fans left unimpressed with his debut season at the John Smith's Stadium.

Question 3: What was Town's goal of the season?

Town scored some fabulous goals during the 2013/2014 campaign but, with so many to choose from, which one prevailed?

The winner was Joe Lynch's thunderbolt against Charlton Athletic during Town's 2-1 home win in September 2013, with the former Brighton and Nottingham Forest defender collecting 37.53% of the votes.

The other main contenders were Oliver Norwood's volleyed strike at home to Burnley (15.51%), Norwood again, this time with his last-gasp stunner in the win at Bolton (9.44%) and Danny Ward's arced finish in the 3-2 victory over Leeds (6.74%).

Question 4: What was Town's best performance?

There was another runaway favourite in this category, with the vast majority of Town fans choosing the 2-1 win over Burnley who, of course, were eventually promoted to the Premier League.

The 2-1 win over the Clarets, thanks to goals from Norwood and Vaughan, received 41.23% of the vote while the other favourite displays tended to involve plenty of goals from a Town perspective.

The 4-1 final-day win over Watford won over 13.21% of fans to finish in second place, while the 5-0 trouncing of Barnsley was also popular, with 12.07% of fans voting for the thumping derby win.

Question 5: What was Town's worst performance?

The title of worst performance was a much more closely-run contest, with three of Town's defeats this season proving particularly grating on the supporters.

The highest percentage of votes overall was for Town's desperately disappointing 5-1 derby defeat at Leeds United, with 29.45%, but the fact Town were so profligate in front of goal and Leeds were so clinical that day has led to fans spreading the voting out.

The 2-0 defeat at home to Ipswich Town, which Mark Robins publicly condemned, was voted for by 25.8% of fans while the 3-1 home defeat to Birmingham City, who so nearly lost their Championship status on the last day of course, was third with 18.49%.

Question 6: At the start of the season, where did you think Town would finish?

Town fans will clearly have every reason to be disappointed with the club's eventual 17th-placed finish, after the majority of voting suggested they thought a top-half position was within reach at the start of the season.

52.4% of fans felt Town would finish in the top 12, with 43.71% opting for the bottom half. The slightly more optimistic 2.52% felt a play-off push was on but they were usurped by the two people (0.46%), who envisaged a title success!

Question 7: Do Town need to strengthen in the summer?

This question was as unanimous as you could imagine, with an overwhelming majority of 98.86% voting in favour of the club strengthening the playing squad this summer.

Question 8: Where do they need to strengthen?

This question encouraged supporters to tick multiple options, with centre back prevailing as the most popular area of the field in need of bolstering.

93.35% of fans picked the central defensive category, underlining the need to adequately replace Peter Clarke and give both Anthony Gerrard and Joel Lynch some competition at the heart of the backline.

Slightly surprisingly, the second most popular was up front, despite the presences of James Vaughan and Nahki Wells, with the 78.21% voting in favour of a new striker perhaps taking into account the doubtful futures of Martin Paterson and Jonathan Stead.

The third most popular was in midfield (75.92%), while the lack of votes in the winger (22.25%) and full back (47.02%) categories highlights the faith Town fans have in the current roster in each position.

Question 9: Which one player should Huddersfield Town try to sign this summer?

We asked you to name the player you would most like to see snapped up this summer, and there were some interesting answers. Lionel Messi featured prominently, naturally, but the more attainable targets were very interesting indeed.

Ben Pringle, who has been touted as a possible Town target in recent times, is clearly held in high regard by Town fans and Leyton Orient midfielder Dean Cox, who will come face to face with Pringle in the League One play-off final, is also discussed as a possible addition.

It could well be that the result of that final dictates who Town could possibly go for out of the duo, but it is intriguing that they are both wingers, a category supporters had apparently felt comfortable in when asked where the club needed to strengthen.

Cyrus Christie and Craig Cathcart, both linked with Town, were also the subject of the discussion while Barnsley forward Chris O'Grady also received numerous mentions.
