Huddersfield Town’s Chris Powell is among the Skybet Championship manager of the month nominees for October.

The John Smith’s Stadium boss is up against Gary Bowyer, of Blackburn Rovers, Eddie Howe, of leaders AFC Bournemouth, and Kit Symons, of Town’s next opponents Fulham.

Town were unbeaten in October, with two wins and three draws from five games.

Symons’ success at Fulham, who had three wins from five, helped him earn the Craven Cottage manager’s job on a permanent basis.

Howe’s Bournemouth scored 14 goals during October, conceding only one.

Their four wins from four included an 8-0 success at Birmingham City.

Blackburn won two and drew two out of four games.

The winner will be announced tomorrow.

The last Town manager to win a monthly award was Lee Clark in League I in October 2011.

Powell won three League I awards when manager of Charlton Athletic.
