Chris Powell has hinted Radi Majewski could finally be given a chance to impress at Huddersfield Town.

The on-loan Nottingham Forest man has been on the bench for a string of games, but played just once under Powell, as a substitute in the 3-2 Championship defeat at Derby County in November.

Now the Polish international, 28, could be called on as Town try to bounce back from successive defeats at Charlton Athletic and Brentford, starting at home to a Rotherham United on Saturday.

“I have trusted the players who have got me results,” said Powell, who has had 10 wins, eight draws and 12 defeats in 30 league games under his command at Town.

“But other members of the squad will have a part to play, because it seems whatever we try at the moment is not working for us.

“Giving more time to the likes of Radi and Joe Lolley is something I am looking at and we have to make sure that if they do get their chance, they do their best to deliver.”

Powell gave left-back Jake Carroll a first Town appearance of the season as a half-time replacement for injured Jack Robinson at Brentford.

And he will assess defender Joel Lynch (groin) as well as striker Nahki Wells (shoulder) as preparations get under way for the visit of Rotherham, who are desperate to move further away from the relegation zone.

“We have to be brave and stick our chests out, because we have a very lively game coming up,” added Powell, whose team have five more points than the Millers.

“We are a side that is not consistent enough and we are conceding too many goals.

“We need to have a different mindset and cut out individual and team errors.”
