Mark Robins hailed an FA Cup fourth-round tie at home to Championship rivals Charlton or League II promotion-chasers Oxford on the weekend of January 25/26.

The pair meet at The Valley on Wednesday after waterlogging put paid to them playing on Saturday.

The draw, made at Wembley, gives Town a realistic chance of a second successive fifth-round appearance.

“You look for a game against a Premier League club, and if you don’t get that, you hope for a home game, which we’ve got,” said Robins.

Town progressed with a 3-2 win at Skrill Conference side Grimsby, scoring twice in four minutes late on at Blundell Park.

They were 1-0 third-round winners at Charlton 12 months ago, and the Londoners have already visited Huddersfield twice this season.

Town were 3-2 victors in the second round of the Capital One Cup in August and beat Charlton 2-1 in a Championship clash in September.

Charlton have just been taken over by Belgian entrepreneur Roland Duchatelet, whose company will acquire 100% of shares in the club.

Town last played Oxford in League II in 2003-04 and the pair have never previously met in the FA Cup.

Robins’ side are back in action on Saturday, when they have a home Championship clash against Millwall, who suffered a 4-1 FA Cup defeat at League II Southend.

Town’s league clash at home to Nottingham Forest, which should have taken place on January 25, will now be re-arranged.
