Championship clubs across the country are eagerly anticipating next Wednesday's 2016/17 Football League fixture release day.

The Premier League calendar, confirmed this morning (barring the inevitable TV shake-up) has only whetted the appetite further.

Fans are being polled on their favourite away trips and who they would most like to face on opening day.

But the Bristol Post have taken it one step further , asking readers to vote on their least favourite Championship away day.

Offering five suggestions, they have nominated Huddersfield Town as one of their top choices.

The description reads: "One of the least inspiring trips in the Championship calendar. The John Smith Stadium lacks atmosphere, Huddersfield are unfashionable opponents and Yorkshire is a long way from Bristol. Enough said."

Barnsley, Rotherham, Cardiff and Norwich are the other teams that the Bristol publication has deemed ripe for skipping, citing reasons of geography, policing and the age of the ground.
