Huddersfield Town will be the third Yorkshire side to visit Watford in eight days when they head to Vicarage Road on Saturday.

The Hornets went second in the Championship by beating Leeds United 4-1 on Saturday and host Doncaster Rovers in the second round of the Capital One Cup tonight.

They have won four out of five games this season, their sole setback a 3-0 loss to Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Argentinian frontman Fernando Forestieri scored twice against Leeds.

Watford boss Giuseppe Sannino said: “I think the result was fair even if maybe it was too large because I need to pay respect to Leeds, because they are a good team.

“They played a good first half. It was an own goal that we conceded and was not a clear situation so I’m happy with the performance.”

Watford have re-signed goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin on a one-year contract.

The 27-year-old Irishman made seven appearances in two years during his first stint with the club, leaving for Plymouth in July 2012.

Gilmartin, who played 16 times during his only season with Argyle, spent last term at St Patrick’s Athletic in Ireland.

The Dublin-born keeper started his career at Walsall.
