Huddersfield Town have confirmed the loan of Adam Hammill to Championship rivals Rotherham United for the rest of the season, with Danny Ward completing a move to the Millers as well.
Under the terms of Hammill's loan, the 26-year-old will not be able to play against Town at the John Smith’s Stadium on March 7.
Ward moves to the Millers on an initial 28-day emergency loan with a permanent move set to follow at the end of that spell after Steve Evans' side missed the 12pm deadline to register for permanent signings.
Both players could feature for Rotherham at Brentford on Saturday.
Powell, whose side host promotion-chasing Watford, this week said he needed to move players on to bring others in.
Rotherham winger Ben Pringle, who has turned down the chance to join Millwall in a proposed £175,000 deal, is a rumoured target.

Town have already sent striker Jon Stead back to League I Bradford City on loan for the remainder of the season.
Liverpool product Hammill, who joined from Wolves on a three-year deal the close-season before last, was a regular under Mark Robins but having suffered injuries, has struggled to reclaim a place under Powell.
He has made three starts and five substitute appearances this season (54 starts, 19 sub overall and seven goals).
Ward, a reported £1m signing from Bolton Wanderers in 2011 who is out of contract at the end of this season, has made only four starts this term, plus 10 appearances from the bench.
Overall, his Town tally is 140 games (95 starts) and 21 goals.
The Bradford-born 24-year-old had also been linked with Leeds United, where he played as a junior, and Blackpool.
Rotherham, who have also signed Leicester City winger Jack Barmby, the son of former England star Nick, on loan, are 19th in the table, a place and two points behind Town.
Powell said: “It’s been a long road back from a number of niggly injuries for Adam.
“He’s expressed a preference for playing on the right-hand side and that’s an area Sean Scannell has done well in, so I couldn’t guarantee him regular football here.
“He is experienced at Championship level and it isn’t a surprise that there has been interest in him, so this move for Adam is good for everyone concerned.”
Rotherham manager Steve Evans said: “Adam is a young man who can play in a wide area or centrally off a striker.
“The lad has fantastic pace, he can go past players and has always been exciting as I’ve watched him from a distance over the last three seasons.”
“I must admit I was a little surprised that he was allowed to come out of Huddersfield Town but at the same time delighted that we got the opportunity to take him.
“Adam joins us until the end of the season but then there’s obviously an option for us to make it a permanent deal as the weeks of the season go by.

“It allowed us to have the lad training with the group this morning and be included in the 18 players at Brentford.”
