Huddersfield Town will host Liverpool in a plum pre-season friendly on Wednesday, July 20.

The 7.45 showdown between rival bosses and good mates and former Borussia Dortmund managerial colleagues David Wagner and Jurgen Klopp will be for the Shankly Trophy.

If the game is level after 90 minutes, there will be a penalty shoot-out to decide the winner of the silverware named after the legendary former manager of both clubs.

Premier League Liverpool say they will have a “stand-out” squad for their first visit to Huddersfield since 1999.
