HUDDERSFIELD Town could hear today whether striker Alan Lee will face retrospective punishment over his alleged elbow on former teammate Alex Bruce.

The Irish frontman was criticised by Hull City boss Steve Bruce after appearing to clash with his son Alex, who was red-carded for pushing Lee at the end of Saturday’s match at the KC Stadium.

Hull, who won 2-0, are appealing the decision by referee Howard Webb, but it seems unlikely Bruce will avoid a three-match ban.

Whether Lee, who denies the allegation, will miss out against his former club Crystal Palace at the weekend – and possibly other games – remains to be seen, with the FA ready to study Webb’s report before possibly considering video evidence.

Bruce senior took a DVD recording of the incident to the press and also showed it to the Rotherham official.

If Webb now believes Lee deserved a card, the FA could step in.
